I took mine off.I don't see a purpose for them.If you leave them off and are still worried about the paint getting chipped which it doesn't seem to be then give the rear corner a coat of the rubbery tar paint that used to be put on sills years ago for protection.

I did think about that rob but the track to the horses is all loose gravel and they do serve a purpose protecting from stone chips on the cab

put the roof lining back on re fitted the battery and took it for a spin first time in 3 weeks need to cut, bend and weld the gear stick again not happy with where it sits

sorted the gear stick out again today cut it off and re welded it on a a different angle
