Geez - you're the new Robl200! Replace 3/4 your truck then take it offroad for a shakedown

front tyres were knackered, drivers front was below the limit in places so didnt want to risk it anymore.

@Basil the Kumho's are crazy prices now, cheapest I could find were about £130 each.

To be fair, your front tyres have been knackered since I met you

Must say though, the rear ones still have about 7/6mm tread. If I had rotated them I could have got more but got 40k out of these & now I have 2 spar tyres that are the same size.

Fitting the new 285/75r16 Yokohama Geolander MT's I just got for £444

I was looking at those on eBay, a good price indeed, you can let me know your thoughts on them after the weekend, I was wanting something a little more aggressive but my budget is shrinking by the day and its between the yoko 's and the GT radials I think

Which isn't too bad when you only need to replace one or two - but all four, 6 weeks before Christrmas...not so good

That's a tyre each, for each of the kids, plus one spare

Happy xmas

I'm the same with my old tyres. Could have got more out of them if I'd rotated them more regularly but the n/s/f one was getting pretty bad so new 285/75/16s were the way to go

Also this thread needs more pics! :p

Well as most of you know I now collect fecked fuel pumps, 3 knackered in the same amount of weeks. Now have another pump & taking no chances. I dropped the fuel tank tonight & removed the feed pipes to give access to the inside of the tank. There was a white "cream" on the bottom & about another 2 litres fuel even though we drained it till nothing came out. Strange thing was when I took some of the cream out & rubbed it between my fingers it seemed to evaporate, now diesel & veg oil wouldnt do that so I think this is some form of contamination thats caused the pumps to sieze up. But I dont think this is down to veg oil use either.

so fingers crossed truck will be running again next week.

As an aside, how are you finding the Yokohama's Al, rims and tyres are next on my list, although I think I've decided on the GT radials
