Evening gents, sorry my build would have seemed to have gone cold. Let me assure you every minute I never spent on here or on photobucket arse-ing about I spent working on the truck. Its been a rollercoaster of a few days but I got where I needed to be.
I started by cutting the front end off and preped it for fitting the new panel, while it was off I fitted the new camshaft seal, cam cover gasket, timing belt kit, crank pulley and bolt, water pump, auxillary belts and egr delete kit. Then I managed to weld the panel on the front and get a coat of satin black hammerite on it before bed. Sorted I thought, stick in the new Rad in the morning, plumb it up, and refit the oil cooler intercooler tank and some new fuel lines and I'll be running by mid day lol, funny how things never go to plan. So I started first thing and went straight in to fit the Rad......didn't fit. The new panels mounts were too high , for fuck sake, and its all ready welded on. So I decide instead of humming and hawwing id break out the grinder and lop them mounts off, after some cutting and shutting and a bit of angle and welding wire I got some mounts in place. Next thing thermostat wouldn't fit so I took it back and even managed to install a cooler operating item so it should stay a bit cooler, next thing top hose wouldn't fit so I was back out again to get a flexible top hose at halfords, none on the shelf...fuuuck, but after 1 0mins of raking around the halfords dude found the perfect hose in the store room. Anyway you will see in the pics the rotten front vs the new panel, the front stripped and engine in bit, Engine in various stages of rebuild, front panel fitted and painted, Rad mounts, built up and, wait for it.......running!!

I have a question about the monster logo, why do you have it?

Do you get paid for it or do you like the drink or do you just think it looks cool?

Reason I wonder is I have seen a lot of trucks with the logo last year and I wonder why it become so popular.

But why do so many truck owners decide to have there logo?
Looks or getting paid for it? Or why?

Well Ive always had motocross bikes in the past, I had a black and green kx I loved, Ive had 2 monster decal sponsor kitted pitbikes and I just love the flo green on black. Reminds me of my motocross days and my and my sons hero, grave digger the monster truck. But I do drink monster, I Peter it to red bull, the ripper is best but it has a yellow logo. Yeah me and my boy love the decals, I think it's quite big in the states too.

Monster, Redbull, Relelntless and Rockstar are all heavily into extreme sports sponsorship. The private trucks you see with Monster decals Danne are all done for the look of it. Not paid. I think the synergy of sticking Monster stickers on a 'Monster' truck may have something to do with it. Otherwise it's' just that it look good. I have Monster stickers on my snowboard.

Okay, its looks good, no question there, just been curious when all of the sudden there is a lot of big trucks with the same stickers, both here and in the UK. I thought they had launched some sort of campaign.

Cheers guys thanks for the comments, yeah energy drinks are very much big sponsors of most of the sports I enjoy to watch to its definetly to get that look, but I must admit monster on a 'monster' build has to do aswell, like I said grave digger is my boys hero, and mine too probably since I was his age. Green = mean nuff' said.....
