Off work next week and all the parts have arrived for a proper 100000 mile service, all the belts, tensioners, coolant, oil, all filters and water pump which is squeaking merrily!

Mines due a massive service and overhaul in the next couple of months , it'll probably be cheaper to put my wheels on a new truck 🙁

think that age for the pulley is about right ... my original one went when the truck was 5 years old ..... admittedly could do with being changed probably but when it had the alternator replaced i got them to check it out and they said it was fine ... but is due a cambelt change soon ( about 4-5000 miles time )

mine had started to crack a little in the laminated section, I will change them with the cambelt from now on I did think about not replacing it but for the sake of £80 I thought better of it.

I need @alex200 to weld one up me thinks

I'm guessing there made that way for reasons other than to get us moaning about delamination - probably to stop shocks being transmitted from the ancillaries through the crankshaft - really want to risk that?

I remember seeing solid pulleys for sale on eBay , I assumed the rubber bit in the pulley was a vibration damper because they are not balanced, can't see why one couldn't be machined from billet alloy as one piece

The outer tin bit isn't and any component running off them could cause vibration , billet alloy could also be balanced
