I got properly told off for using hammerite on mine by a mate who is dab handy with a gun. He sprayed my truck last year if you remember. He says hammerite has silicon in it which means when it cracks it's a bitch to repair and will keep cracking. Bit too late now as it's done. I did a couple layers of stone chip underneath so if the paint fails it will need sand blasting to remove and start again.

@woody13 what's this military chassis paint???

It is what it says on the tin, hard as nails paint, heavy duty. The only warning thats missing off the tin is a bio-hazard symbol....

AND where do you get this from man of wood

Thanks. I really think it finishes the bumper off. It's purely aesthetic. You couldn't stand on it even if you could get your foot in there. While I love the bumper above any other I've seen, it did need that gap filled.

We left the booth at 1am this morning. We were booked until 6pm the night before! It sort of ran over a bit. So there's a few black accents / features which are not on the truck. I'm keeping those secret until I do them though. And McK's rock sliders were painted but not fitted yet. Some old trim needs reviving. Especially around the canopy. Black and Orange are all done in UPol Raptor. Thinned 10% and sprayed through a 2mm nozzle instead of a Shultz gun. - as instructed by UPol. The texture is better than I could have expected.

I don't know. I did wonder when I put that thread up asking for people to photoshop it whether everyone actually believed I would do it. Now that I have I love it more than the rendering. Very glad I didn't go for one of the other orange and black combinations. The total complete version actually looks even better than this. But this cost just shy of £2k. So you'll all have to wait a bit for the final episode.
