Took off 18's, put on 17's, removed canopy and refitted to buyers truck, removed interior and fitted new one, wet vacced the carpets 4 times, made it earn me some money. Well, technically that was 3 days, but couldn't find the thread!

All sorted, was just a simple plug and play job, radek told me which plug, did it when I got home. Truck has plenty of extra grunt now, decat, egr removed, power upgrade and k&n filter. Lots of extra poke for not much money :-)

I dug out one of my winter wheels out the garage and decided to give it a bit of a refurb
I picked the worst one which looked like this

then set to work on it and ended up with one that looks like this(with a quick spray of autoglym on the tyre too)
not perfect but a darn sight better than it was and more than good enough for me

thanks for inspiring me Jimmy, had you not initially posted up how you did yours then I would never have even attempted mine. total price so far for 4 wheels is
£20 .......... detail sander from screwfix on offer
£6 ........... 10x120 grit and 10x180 grit sandpaper
£4 ...........Tcut metal polish
£2 ........... green scouring pads cut to shape with scissors
£32 total which is less than my local wheel place charge for 1 wheel, although they would undoubtedly done a better job, my truck is no show queen so how I've done them is more than good enough for my needs.Apart from scouring pads and metal polish , I easily have enough stuff left to do all my other wheels so my guess is that it'll work out at around £4 a wheel to do(If you dont count you own time that is)

Looked out window, still there, got another homebrew
What is the make of your tyres Kurt and where did you get them? Thought I might get a set for Disco. Is there much road noise and does the mpg drop much?

did have warrior, but crossed over to disco 2.

Tyres on my truck are recip trial 265/75/16 just like these http://www.4x4tyres.com/265-75-16-recip-...n-retread--tyre the smoother the road, the noisier they become , you do get a bit of noise but certainly not as bad as you would imagine
