Replaced all front bulbs, 100w headlamps, 60w sidelights and 80w foglights, with LED`s with wee fans on the back and ballasts - beautiful, bright pure white light to go with the light bar £50 a side from China - REALLY simple to do - pre 10 plates are different as theres fiddly metal clips to pi55 around with, but on mine - simple bayonet fit.

Is this not all a bit dodgy for the MoT test Basil? are super bright lights allowed?

Mr MOT has no way of knowing the wattage of the bulbs. That said I don't think the led one maintain the beam pattern, but j could be wrong there.

The bulbs can make a difference to beam pattern. For example, an H4 tungsten bulb in place of an H4 halogen one and you'll fail on incorrect beam pattern... as I discovered many moons ago with my Panda 4x4 Sisley. The optics can't compensate for incorrect size, shape or position of the light source. I just don't know how well the led jobs are designed in this respect.
