I did mine last week, took the barrel bit right out and gave it a right good squirting ......... smoother than a smooth thing now

no wd40 is the worse thing graphite powder is designed for locks its fine and lubricates the pins and stays there

it was getting to the point where I was afraid I was gonna snap the key unlocking the truck

Wd40 will free the lock up but won't last forever. Won't do it any harm.

Beg to differ there Lee... we use it all the time on Upvc door cylinders to get them working again .. A car door lock is very similar in design.. I can see the benefits of graphite powder if the key or barrell are worn though........

well the graphite powder has done the trick for my locks wd would too but i am expecting the graphite to last longer

i am thinking about going outside to replace the track rod ends inner and outer and the bottom ball joints but it cold out there

well the mrs was heavy handed with my gearstick and she broke the gear stick off on thursday
I wasnt happy with the throw of it any way so i cut the gear stick and trasfer stick up and made 2 new ones
now i am happy

did a few bits today
center consoles back in rivited the gear stick gaiters in place
speakers fitted into the doors
leds in the door hadles to light up the switches
puddle down lighters in the bottom of the doors
