Chef, forgive my intellect & lack of knowledge at this stage of being on the forum, but you done the decat, then went for the MOT? Obvious question pops into my mind, is the cat not needed to pass the emissions?

no the cat aint needed mate there is no cat in vosas check guide for the classic shape truck and it dont effect the emmisions IMO

so get rid of yours mate

Beware with that ...will depend on MOT station....Mine has categorically stated it would fail if I removed it...........( but mine is a 55 Plate andI think Lemmy said it was before 2005 that Mitsi hadn't provided the info )

My MOT bloke told me 2005 when I asked him, but I wouldn't bet Lez' s virginity on it. Pre FBW models never had a cat any way, which is nice.
