Friggin' awesome! So you've obviously done your homework. Is 350bhp something to build up to or will it run that with the turbo and pump you're fitting?

@Yoda it will run 250 with the standard turbo and the pump I've got. But I've sent the turbo of today to be either replaced or rebored to give the 300-350. I'd like to keep about 330 tops. Don't want it becoming unreliable.

I reckon by the time I've done its Goanna be about 3k. But that's cos I do 90% of the stuff myself. This is how I look at it. The engine in my truck was fubar. So it's either buy a new ranger at 360 a month. No thanx. Or buy another second hand and end up with the same crap. Also no thanx. I've had this truck for 6 year and always maintained it so the body, chassis and everything else is mint. So y not just replace the only crap thing on it. The engine. Like u did.

And that's exactly how I justified this build to the wife. Lol

Precisely how I looked at it. Normally this is the point where people give up and buy another truck. But what else can you buy for £3k that's going to be as good as your truck now? Nothing, that's what.

Although that said I am keeping my eye out for V6 L200's with LPG. But only because I like the idea of making mine an out and out toy.

Nope. They all just snapped off. Except one. It's a common fault with these merc engines.

got a merc vito at work with the glow plug light on ....keep puttng it off to look at due to the notorious stuck glowplugs!

It's not 2 hard. U just need a 7mm and 10.5 drill bit and a m8x1.25 tap. And a large slide hammer. Apparently all merc engines are bad cos of the length of the sheaths on the plugs.
