Finally put on my 'PRO-NET' tailgate net. It wasn't too bad, just had to make a couple of plates as the net was slightly too short in width, it's the best size for the L200 though, as the other sizes you can get are way to big as they're designed for the big yank trucks.

Fitted a Tom Tom GPS receiver with Bluetooth. It's tiny, mounted in view of the sky inside the A pillar, and sends a proper full fat GPS signal to mobile phones or tablets etc.

Tried to work out why the previous owner would grind off the front recovery points.
Conclusion he ground them off to fit a stainless A Bar.
Good news is they are still available from Mitsubishi so now need to get them ordered and find some one to cut off the rest of the bumper mount and weld the new ones back on.

Fitted my twin tank kit, barring the tank in the tub which I'll do tomorrow. Feeling tired and my leg is chuffing sore, but happy to have done something

Well, today I have fitted an led fog light to replace the one lost at Drumclog! And, against advice, I removed my side steps! I've not got any off road stuff planned for a while and I've got rock sliders on order so I thought "sod it" and took them off! I'm well chuffed with the results - the truck looks great, a lot higher looking!!

I took my side steps off when I tried fitting the sh1t sliders from LFD and haven't put them back on yet.

Mine's a Classic but I agree, it does look taller without the steps. I do find that I hear a lot more stones hitting the truck now but they may just be getting kicked up by my new Cooper tyres.

I just need to decide now whether to put the steps back on or go for summat else.

Birdie, Have you got pics of the rest of the installation? Would you be up for doing a 'how to' thread on the fitting of a twin tank system?

Did you plumb the heat exchanger into the pipe that used to run water through the erg cooler, or use the ones at the back of the engine?

Sorry for all the questions I'd like to do this at some point but for some reason it feels like it would be beyond my capabilities unless I see it done step by step

I did mine off the egr, seemed easier and gets good and hot. Mine is a bit of a mishmash as I bought most of a kit and made it fit. Will see what I can do as a "how to", but any questions please ask.

Was that as much of a bugger to fit as mine...?

Although it's in now and working, it definately has that 18 wheeler sound.
