From the centre of the hub caps to the underneath of the highest point on the wheel arch should measure about 22".
The front will always sit lower than the back.

In most cases the template for the snorkel is way off, place the template over the snorkel and check and adjust the holes.

Had a good look over the truck today after problems last week off-roading , the list is ....... Front prop seal in the transfer box , nsf drive shaft seal in diff , nsf cv joint and a new CB antenna , looks like a call to milners and a busy weekend ahead 😀

I would love to say loads but alas all I have actually achieved is to change the radiator pipes.
The new aluminium rad was 3 inches too short so had to revert to the old one.
Changed all the small air pipes to the turbo over for blue to match only to find when I drove it it ran like a bitch, turns out after putting the original pipes back on the centre bore of the new Ines was slightly smaller causing the dump valve to get stuck open.

So what did I learn from today -
Never mess with small pipes on the turbo system.
Measure new radiators first before draining the whole system.

On a plus side whilst the intercooler was off I cleaned the oil of the engine so it's now clean.

So I'm now off to hunt down the supplier of the rad and insert it into an area that may hurt unless he gives me a an equally shiny aluminium rad that does fit.

Bought the stone chip paint to do my bash plate. Hate the fact that I've got to do this on a 2013 truck .... the protection to the underside of these things is absolutely rubbish. Seeing as it's going to be a nice weekend I'll hopefully get it done on Saturday.

I started life with nothing and I still have most of it left!

What have I done to it , its more a case of what I didn't do . Decided to do the transfer box seal and the nsf shaft seal in the diff , transfer box was still full of oil so I left it and moved on to the disaster that was the shaft seal . I wanted to leave the shaft attached to the hub and pull the whole lot out as one piece, that plan went out of the window when I discovered the abs sensor was stuck in the hub and wouldn't move , I decided to continue with plan a and now suspend the whole lot off a ratchet strap slung over the bonnet , now the stuff that went wrong - snapped the bolts on the abs cable brackets , couldn't get one of the split pins out so broke it off and tried to drill it and snapped the drill bit off in the ball joint , couldn't find the home made puller to get the seal out so had to beat it out , couldn't find the drift to put the new one in so lump of 2x2 was used , dog then decided to attack my ear while I was laying under the truck so got told to go away ,dam thing then took a crap behind me and I trod in it .
It's all back together now after my 3 hours of hell with it , at one point I wanted to beat the crud out of it and burn the dam thing
