Checked the oil catch can today and removed about 50mm, but the catch can inlet pipe hadn't been tightened enough and was leaking so that's all sealed now so should be able to monitor the oil in the can more accurately now. Will check at the end of the month. On a more positive note im not getting any oil now coming from the throttle body spilling over the inlet manifold.

Spent yesterday wire brushing the chassis, rear axel and underneath the truck, sprayed it with rust converter and left to dry/harden overnight, then this morning red oxide primed it and then coated with under seal tonight!
It's horrible horrible stuff to spray on and my heads pounding with it but at least I'm protected for the winter
I'll see how good it looks in the morning with daylight

Today I dumped the oil pressure gauge as it was useless and inaccurate, fitted matching boost and water temp gauges and plumbed the sensor into the top hose . I'm a lot happier now it all matches 😀

Future plan is a shogun sport pod with the gauge built in

Sprayed the chassis with wax oil while it was quite clean, took longer than I thought but it's had a good blast now

Shogun/challenger gauge pod fitted and wired up ( had some good advice from forum members on fb ) just waiting for the bulbs for the temp/compass gauge thingy as they were blown
The pressure sender was a universal 8 bar one that matched the max pressure on the gauge , it seem to be working ok but I haven't done a full range test with pressure test kit plumbed in (just thought I'd add that bit for anyone interested)

I replaced the bulbs in the compass on the shoggy sport pod I just fitted , decided to be a cheep arse and not buy the correct ones but make the micro bulbs I had fit , thought this would be easy but o how wrong I was . Nothing seems to fit as Mitsubishi have decided to make the bulb holder way smaller than anything I've seen and the hole in the circuit board is tiny . So I pushed the rubber sleeves off two 501 bulbs in the holes and soldered the bulbs direct to the board in frustration, the morale to this is buy the correct stuff in the first place and save yourself a lot of hassle.
There are no photos as I would of beaten the crap out of the phone to vent my frustration 😤
