Went and picked up an alu battery box, then went and forked out for a work canopy with gull wings.. No more climbing in the back¡
HARDTOPSUK did the job, and even went the extra mile when the stereo didn't work after and fixed it...

Went down to Life’s Overland... quote incoming for a custom rear bumper and cage for the back. Also got to remember how beautiful the rolling(gps took me down and up quite a few 20 & 40% grade) hills are down here.
Also went into Devon4x4.... whooops. Could have broken the card in there! Settled on some 9” bush spots.

Spent 2 days fitting a programmable fan switch for my electric radiator fans. The fan switches I had kept coming too early (80c) and wouldn’t turn the fans off as the engine runs around 85C so will never go down to 75C to turn off.
Now I have a programmable fan switch I can set it to what I want. The switch also runs off the Radiator temp and not the engine temp, So it will sense a drop in temp from motorway speeds and shut the fan off, preventing the fans from stalling out or blocking airflow at speeds where the fans are no longer able to beat air speed.
No more driving around with 2 12” electric fans running all the time. Sweet silence.

Bought a 1500w inverter. Spent a looong time looking at Grover Airhorns (they mount them on FDNY trucks!) for the muppets who walk across in front of me zombied into their phones. Thought about it some more, saved the bookmark for when the main conversion is over.

I've spent some time pulling apart boost solenoids, discovered the Chinese ones are awful quality compared to genuine and I'm surprised they work from the start , did a dry clean of the original one with cotton buds and cleaned up the rubber face on the plunger with 3000 grit wet and dry , I've now done about 120 miles with it fitted and it's working spot on
