Or is it that you need one on each end of your hammock as counter weights?

Snorkel fitted yesterday, looks much better now - and sounds quite good too - you can hear it sucking which is a nice unexpected side effect! Gonna get some pipe and raise all the breathers too at some point. Also repaired the camera for the back which had stopped working, iffy connection repaired and all good. I also have a spare camera now, which I may put up under the spoiler on the canopy for when I'm towing so I can see over the trailer.

Took a bit more than a day to be honest, but recently have
fitted second hand gearbox + new mounts (both front cross members off for de-rusting and painting) + second hand front diff + and front prop. Changed all the oil seals on them first and made an extended breather for the diff. New ball joints all round + track rods inner and outer + idler arm, de-rusted the front of the chassis and waxoyled it. Changed the clutch and bearings and the rear crankshaft oil seal. Had to take off the sump for that so de-rusted and repainted that too. New half moon and rocker gasket. Did a load of welding on the drivers side floor pan where the inner wing meets the bulkhead - that's a b**** as there's 4 different sheets of metal there, all spot welded together. So it's had a mini rebuild at the front pretty much, then it failed the MOT for the rear brake balance!, so had to fit a new auto adjuster spindle in the back. Passed it for another year now though, no advisories

Still working on me tank...barn getting cold but bought a turbo boost pressure gauge to keep an eye on my boost before I play with those boost screws! Best bit....the the gauge came from a Spitfire! Not sure either a Rolls Royce Merlln engine or Griffon.Ebay £45. How cool is that.Goes up to 24 psi...just about perfect.. Need to check the calibration...I've got a cunning plan, Ill keep you posted. If someone tells me how to post a photo from my iPhone i'll put it up for a laugh...Nic

Took 3 hours to change my alternator again ( hate having back problems ) , the wiring has gone gone hard and brittle so that got a bit of a tidy up and sealed with self amalgamation tape , the rust in the front is looking pretty grim now so next big job will be all that lot ripped off and repaired, the prop centre bearing I filled with silicone sealant as an emergency bodge is still holding up fine after nearly 2 years so it's not being replaced ,replaced one of the small light bars as water got in it and turned it into a disco strobe light , 2 cheep spot lights now to fill the holes , she is starting to look a right sorry mess now body wise with the usual rusty places and bramble scratches

My truck has been at a friends Detailing company for 2 day. Although it's pretty clean inside the carpets and headliner still have 13 years of dirt on them, Especially 8 years of when the truck was used as a landscaping vehicle and then 4 years of me going through all the mud and a year of us climbing around it putting the new engine in it. a few oily hand prints everywhere etc. So it's had the interiour stripped out for a professional clean. Seats out and all. Hopefuly getting it back tonight clean as a whistle.

Got annoyed with the limitations of the Mitz canopy, so went and ordered up a new avenger work canopy with side gullwings and track system to push my frontrunner rack onto.

Tomorrow, I shall be pestering the local traffic office about a new version of frontal protection called a smartbar - it's a polymer product as an alternative to bullbars. My local authority's law states no metal or front bars - but they'll weasel if i don't use the nailgun!

We'll just ordered the oil n filter for a quick oil drop. Eurocarparts are doing one of their 50% off things so it'd be rude not to take advantage. Gonna drop not suck this time ... actually on second thoughts I might suck the majority and drain the rest. Trucks only done a couple of thousand miles since I did it back in 2016 but I'll do it regardless.
Anyone know the sump plug washer size off the top of their heads?
