Drove it, took Lemmy (my Lab) to the lady that bred him to see about breeding him again. Was a gentle, warm morning, a thoroughly enjoyable drive with just me and my Dog, and I marveled again at how well the old bus runs and drives.

Adjusted the rear brakes this morning and might take on the rubbish in the footwells this afternoon , next big job is the exhaust as only goodwill and garden wire is holding it on

Half the chassis waxoiled on Saturday,
Fitted a snorkel today,
I have waxoil still turning up in my hair and still scrubbing my knuckles and where the waxoiled hasn't touched me I have no skin left on my hands after fitting the snorkel, trying to fit the nut on the studs by reaching around the splash guard and fitting my rather large hand into the panel left a surprisingly large amount of blood.
Totally enjoyed the weekend, and with the missus bringing me tea and bacon butties I wish every weekend could be this good.

Finally got under the new mitsi - fitted a reversing camera - discovered rear suspension bump stops are fuct (failed under continuous testing) sorted out the tow bar - there was a Dave cooper bike rack adapter fitted pain in the neck busted my shin more than once already on it so that's gone and I now have a tidy tow bar again - with working electriceryness.

fitted a 7" tft double din stereo with blue tooth and all that jazz a couple of weeks ago so integrated camera to that works a treat.

wouldn't have been this long without getting under truck had I not broke a bit of my hand two weeks ago - apparently machinery can be dangerous who knew...

Keep looking at it and thinking it needs bigger rubber - really didn't buy it to start modding it - but .......

cheers

Looked into the leaking transferbox today. After topping up the cluch fluid on sunday with no further leaks started work on the transferbox. Got dressed in all my wet weather gear slid under with the jet wash and cleaned what i think is about a years worth of FYM off. Once dried popped the filler plug to top up thinking i would need a good 2 ltrs to find that after 300ml it was full. Took her out for a run got back and found no leak . Happy days although need to keep an eye on the front output seal, stand by minler order inbound.

Got it on then the stupid flexi hose don't fit in the holes was murdered getting that in there.
Done and it works so happy days. Wonder how strong that flexi pipe is worried about that breaking tbh as it's only thin .

Fitted a stainless steel rear bumper to my Challenger yesterday, to replace the black original equipment under body one . First thing I've done to the truck and was pleasantly surprised how solid all the fitments were. Might have to buy a heftier toolkit though

Next on the agenda is a reversing camera so I don't have to keep asking the Mrs to jump out and see me back at Tescos. Today it's a good clean and polish before settling down to watch Grand Prix qualifying
