Bought this for £35

Spare wheel swing carrier.
Visited the Galvaniser's today so rocksliders , bumper, towbar and the sump and gearbox bash plates are all coming off to have holes drilled on the tubes and shotblasted prior to being galvanised. No more touching up the paint 😊

Clear tail light lenses. The molds were a bit rough, but with a bit of swearing, drilling and hot glue, we got there....excuse the dents....I have some panel beating to do (it was my Dad's farm truck before I got hold of it).

Got some clear corner lenses and bumper lenses too, just have to track down some amber coloured bulbs for them.

Wenn Sie hier auf Links zu eBay klicken und einen Kauf tätigen, kann dies dazu führen, dass diese Website eine Provision erhält.

Looking good again. Little word of advice on the bulbs as i've got the same clear lenses on mine. The amber coloured ones look shyte as they show through and spoil the look of the clear lenses, so to get round this i went for the chrome covered ones available readily from the bay of evilness.

And for the stop / tail.

What bulbs do you have in the front bumper indicators? I looked at mine and they appear to be dual pad, dual filament, like a stop light?

The fronts on mine are the single filament type, same as the rears.

If your fronts are dual then i'd take a guess they are incorperating a running light which would then become a flasher once the indicators are applied. That's the only thing i can think of if you have dual filament bulbs and holders in there.

Clear corner lights are on (pic)....the bumper lights I'm either going to have to get new holders, find an amber 2 filament bulb or find some sort of paint for the existing bulbs before I fit the clear lenses.

Might be getting new 18 inch wheels in the next couple of weeks or so and possibly lowering it (if a mate of mine has time).

Thanks! Trying to tee up a day with my mechanic mate to put in 50mm lower blocks (biggest block allowed without cert over here) and tighten down the tortion bars. Going to try and get a quote on tinting for the windows next week too, probably 5% on the rear window and rear cab side windows, and 35% on the front cab, to keep it all legal.

Body's a bit rough as far as dents go being a farm truck for about the last 20 years of its life (can't really see it in the pictures) - little to no rust though! I'll slowly try to tidy it up.

I still love it, contrary to the norm on here of lifting our trucks, if I had one like your one, I would air bag it & slam it!

Here's my old Hilux! If it had had a crew cab I would still have it to this day!

A simple job ha ha removed the diff stripped the diff and replaced the diff lock switch, what a shit design that to replace a switch you have to do all this.
I will do a more in depth write up on stripping the diff out to replace the diff lock switch with more and better photos.

Today I replaced my clutch slave and fitted my light bar, I got lazy though and wired it into the front fogs, worked fine then it blew the fuse. Current draw is 8A on the light bar is this too much to put into the fogs ?
Do I need to wire it up with its own switch or can I put a bigger fuse in ?
