Manifold is all done now.

Took me a while to reply cos I'm so blown away by what you're doing here Oliver! This manifold is so freaking awesome mate - it looks like something our butcher would churn out of his black sausage machine - good enough to eat!

Great job! A mate of mine has put an OM606 in a Suzuki Vitara! It's a beast!

Well she’s all back on the road taxed and MOT’d. Just running the new clutch plates in but all working well so far. Had a slight tapping till I realised a glow plug was loose and a fuel leak from a loose banjo but not bad as far as teething problems go. And had to put a bigger boost gauge in as the old one didn’t go high enough. It’s a bit loud for my liking tho so I think I might put another silencer in.

2.5 bar at the mo. Old gauge only went up to 2. Il run it at 2.5 for a bit then swap the external waste gate springs and run 3.5 bar. See how much difference it makes. It’s fast enough now tho tbh

Finally got round to starting the new rad this week. Need doing before summer temps come round if I want to tow heavy stuff up massive hills at speed again.
This is the new core compared to the old one. It’s 50mm 3row as apposed to the old 30mm single row core. It’s slightly bigger but not by much. [[File3E9CA6E-EE56-41FA-B9E0-DB3B65635EB0.jpeg|none|auto]]

Bottom tank behind is almost done. Just a drain plug and outlet pipe to go in. Then weld em on. Then pressure test it and get mad cos I’ve found a pin hole. Lol Bild entfernt (keine Rechte).

Good call on the bigger Radiator mate. We had a nightmare keeping mine cool for the first couple of months but now have it all down and running well. Also your manifolds look great.

Forgot to ask, Are you running the original Belt driven fan off the new motor or going electric?

I’ve been running 2x revotec 12” fans from day 1. Drops temps in seconds when they come in.

Ignore the brown on the core. That’s where the caboard used for the fin protection caught fire. Lol it’s washed off now.

New pipe to route the coolant round the alternator to make the bigger rad fit.

Goanna take the rad to work this week and polish it all up. Then get it fitted and thrash the crap out the truck and see if we can break it and see how hot we can get it . Got the trailer loaded with 3 tonne of straw for some proper tow tests.
