rad is clean mate i even straightened some of the fins

could it really be the stat

Possibly as it may not be opening correctly , so not allowing a free flow of water, does sound like a blockage somewhere rather than failure...my temp has only ever risen the one time pulling a horsebox and turned out to be sludge blocking the radiator flow

Cheaper than doing a head gasket only to find it was a couple of quid and an hours work

Wheels treated to a scrub and paint, egr removed, tuning box fitted, first mock up of pull out tailgate (needs work).
Been busy!
Just the tracking to sort, wiper arms to paint, remote locking to fit, reversing camera on its way, graphics, and so on!!!

It's got 265/65/16 kuhmo road venture at tyres on at the moment and no sign of rubbing. Can't see if it's been lifted but it does look higher??

OH my fo0kin god what a difference with no egr and a tuning box! I read others posts and didn't think it would make that much difference but YES IT DOES!!!
So much more pull even from cold. I checked the glow plugs as it is a poor starter and they're fairly new so I tried the fuel pump and sure enough a few pumps and it then goes rock solid and started up quite quickly so I guess I need to fit a non-return-valve somewhere accessible.
Reversing camera arrived today and trial fitted it but I need to find a switched live up front somewhere for the mirror/monitor.

2" lift done and winch bumper fitted, the bumper off Alex200 is fantastic (I will do a full appraisal tomorrow)

The 2" lift took about 6 hours what a nightmare, there are times I could happily sit around the truck with a marshmallow while it burned.
Seized bolt on the tub thankfully Alex had his plasma cutter, a crap plastic bumper.
Many many many thanks @alex200 VFD.

In my wisdom I decided to lube the rear windows as I've not opened them for about a year , stupid stupid stupid man , 15 minutes and a quarter can of silicone spray and eventually got the bloody thing shut

Wired up the reverse camera and in doing so had a chance to look underneath properly for the first time...that was a mistake as I found the prop center bearing was like a cock in a welly (to nick someone else's quote), the front anti-roll-bar bushes are like throwing a sausage down a high street and the rear gearbox/transfer box mount is also FUBAR...
My to-do list is growing faster than I can cross the jobs off!!!!

@2810robin
dont worry too much about the mount, it's meant to be a floating mount so as long as there is no metal to metal contact then it'll be fine
fit a new one by all means as they're on 15 or 20 quid but it'll look not dissimilar to the old one in no time
